This weekend we went “camping” in a motor home. And although it was perhaps not real camping it was still equal in amounts of fun to real camping. perhaps at first glance you thought my face was really tan. look closely cause it is for sure all dirt. gross I know. but quading is really fun even if you are being driven by some maniac 12 year old. another thing I learned is that dance parties can be fun with pretty much anybody who is willing to dance. I taught 15 adults the hoedown throw down. I don’t really know whether to be proud or embarrassed

Today when I was driving home from school on Mckellips I hit NO RED LIGHTS. not one. this i some sort of amazing.

My cousins husband has a harley. He wants a new harley and she doesn’t want him to get one. She found his cash stash (they each have their own cash stash that they hide from each other and activly earch for one anothers) She says if he buys a new harley she is going to go straight to the car dealership and drive home in an Audi TT that she plans to buy with his cash stash. I cannot wait for this to happen. Also he has no idea she has this planned or that she knows the location of his cash stash.

I taught the 2 year old to say “why you so obbsessed with me?” on command

I was given a hundred dollar bill. I don’t know why.

Friday I leave for mexico. I am JAZZED.

So I am currently sitting in my apartment in China. I really love it here. The city I live in is AMAZING. And all the kids are so fun I love teaching. Easily the coolest thing I’ve ever done.

Things About China

• The city I live in is a small one in a poorer province so most people here have never seen an American. Having blonde hair and blue eyes = instant celebrity status. Seriously, people just snap my photo all the time, students always want me to sign their books (not sure why), and I spend half my day waving at everyone who walks by me.
• Everyone here is REALLY friendly. They always want to impress us too, so they are always giving us things and stuff.
• Personal space? Not such a big thing here.
•  Also advanced notice…. Apparently in China things just aren’t as scheduled as they are in America. For example… even though the “holiday” is in like 2 weeks they have yet to decide when school will let out for it.
•  Another example of this would be the day Maddie and I started teaching. They totally just handed us our schedule and were like k, go for it! Your classes start now. haha
• Or the time they just showed up at our apartment at like 7:00 pm and said the headmaster (whom we call Dumbledore in the privacy of our own apartment) would like to interview us. Maddie and I are thinking he wants to ask us about our classes and stuff. Well…. No actually we are just going to be on the news is all. (I think by time I get back I’ll be so go with the flow it’ll be insane).
• American Chinese food is nothing like actual Chinese food. Well… they still eat rice. They also eat chicken feet….
• The bathrooms…. You don’t even know….
• The apples here taste better. Also I have this new favorite fruit that I don’t even think has an english name. It’s awesome though whatever it is.
• Their technology talks a lot more than ours does.
• Everything is really cheap here. I’ve got to the point that when I see something that cost 28 RMB and I think it’s too expensive. That’s like $4 in the US…
• Suddenly I feel pretty tall
• The illegal movie market is alive and well.
• I’ve started using a lot more body language to explain myself… this might prove embarrassing when I get back to normal life.
• I had to get a hacked ISP to get on this blog.

 Today in the car I was listening to my ipod, cause the radio stations her are terrible and I kept on coming to songs that remind me of people from home, and some times I even have to skip them because the make me to homesick. thats how pathetic I am.

Sadie- every song ever ok no but a ton, so many I cant list. Rockstar, Escape, SOS, and weekend warriors are all REALLY high

Sydnie- Boom Boom Pow, I can just imagin her dancing in my back seet, also Good Girls Go Bad and her little head move.

Tyler- Girlfriend. He’s the only boy I’ve ever met who wanted to listen to Avril lavigne on repeat.

Julie- The Adventure, and I still sing the words I can no live I can’t breath unless Julies with me in her honor

Eric- Anything Chris ledoux

Brent- Jesus walks, his “sunday song” which I think is really hilarious, because he always manages to convince my mom who hates rap music.

Zach- 7 things. I don’t even think this is his favorite miley song but whenever I lsiten to it I thik of him

Sarah- that Josh groban you raise me up song that always came on her Ipod during the shuffle game

Yes. That is my cousin’s pet pig. Yes he is an indoor outdoor pig, no he doesn’t smell bad, and yes he bit my hand trying to get that carrot

My cousin, Is actually my moms cousin. but to make it less confusing I just refer to her as my cousin. To her I am the teenage daughter he’s always wanted while she waits for her 2 year old to grow up. Every day when I come home from school I have to sit down on the couch and tell her about my day. keep in mind I have one class every morning so there isn’t much to tell. and she doesn’t care about the girls i meet, only the boys. IDK why so I try now to talk to at least one boy every day so I can tell her that “I met and talked to this boy named _____ he seems pretty cool.”  usually I have to end up going into detail about what we talked about which is a shame because usually all I find out is their name, major and maybe where they are from and then maybe a question about class.

Today the boy I talked to was my cashier at walmart named Bryan, we talked about school and printers…. really how it went is he asked me what I was buying printer paper for and I said school.

• When the opportunity arises to go see both Relient K and Owl City in concert, take it.
• Road Trips are ALWAYS worth it. Even when they are totally spur of the moment, and you haven’t planned any of it.
• Enrique Iglesias is obviously awesome
• If you are babysitting and the kids want to watch cartoons Danny Phantom is far more preferable than Johnny Test.
• Traveling to a Foreign Country requires a lot of phone time. Seriously. I’ve spent the last three days on the phone, and I hate to talk on the phone.
• When it comes to packing I am a huge procrastinator. I hate packing.
• Don’t keep your camera and iPod in a beach bag with a can of spray of sunscreen. You never know when it will just explode and ruin your prized possessions.
• When playing Fugitive look where you run. Otherwise you might just run off a small cliff and somersault onto someone’s driveway and break your wrist.
• It’s really hard to type with your right hand in a cast.
• Get a black cast. It shows less dirt.
• I can NOT make scrambled eggs. The last batch I made caused someone to throw up. Seriously.
• Sleeping on the Beach in California is definitely a good time.

Last weekend was easily the best weekend of my life. Friday I went to Six Flags in California, and can I just say that Roller-coasters are quite possibly my favorite thing on the planet. So one of the coolest roller-coasters at the park is Tatsu.

And since I broke my wrist a couple of weeks ago, and I’m currently sporting a bright green cast I’m technically not allowed to ride it. Luckily I have some persistent friends, and the arm rests/hand grips are miraculously the exact same shade of green as my cast. So worth it.

So My cousin desperately wants me to be a socialite so before I came she told everybody she knew my age I was coming and has had a ton of people invite me over and all this stuff. So last night I was just sitting there watching shark week minding my own business when all of a sudden  she decided I shouldn’t be sitting around I should be dong something so she calls her’s husbands cousin to see what he’s doing. he says him and his friends are going swimming and he’ll come pick me up. I continue to watch sharks eat people and watch out the window for this boy. a truck plus up to the curb so I go out. I pull on the door and it’s locked, the person in the front seat isn’t someone i recognize but I just figure her cousin sent a friend.

” Hi I’m Kelli”
“Hi Kelli are you  waiting for someone?”
“Yeah aren’t you one of Jordans friends?”
“Nope sorry, I’m not your date..” (It wasn’t a date…)
“Oh well it was nice to meet you. Bye!”

And then I jump out of the car and run across the grass up the front step, and before the boy has finished pulling away I slip on the front porch cause the grass had been wet… he definitely saw me.

PS this boy name jason has taken to calling me Kelli Cat. WHY ME?!

Kelli’s last post reminded me of this and after the thought came into my head I couldn’t help myself. This is my favorite wedding invitation ever. Enjoy.

I’m going to go ahead and say that Mario and Peach is my favorite.
